#0250 Ho-Oh

Su nombre se puede leer igual de izquierda a derecha y derecha a izquierda (es un palíndromo), al igual que Eevee, Girafarig, Alomomola y Farigiraf.
A pesar de que Ho-Oh es de la segunda generación, aparece en el EP001 del anime. Por lo tanto, es el primer Pokémon adelantado. Y después, en el EP1091, en el cual Ash comienza su viaje en la serie Viajes Pokémon, aparece Lugia, parodiando la aparición de Ho-Oh cuando Ash comenzó su viaje por Kanto.
Su habilidad regeneración, es un guiño al hecho de estar basado en un fénix, famoso por resurgir de sus cenizas.
